Start your day with a visit to the Source du Pêcher spring and the Parc Paul Arnal, with views over the Causse Méjean.
Enjoy a stroll through a large, quiet and shady park, where the Pêcher spring gushes out from a great rocky scree.
The name comes from "pesquié", from "pesce", meaning fish: a fishpond where trout were raised.
The spring has always supplied drinking water to the fountains of Florac. It also turned the mills and fed the fishpond.
A lovely walk through the nature and history of our town awaits you.
After your walk, head to the Maison du Site UNESCO, which offers free exhibitions and activities in July and August on the many facets of the Causses and Cevennes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for their Mediterranean agro-pastoralism.

A refreshing afternoon at the Rocher des Fées
The Rocher des Fées (Fairy Rock) is less than 1 km (about half a mile) from the old petrol station on the way out of Florac. The easiest way is to walk there, but you can also drive, park on the left-hand side of the road and walk down to the river.
